Se joga: um guia prático para o cientista político se inserir no mercado de trabalho [Se joga: a practical guide for political scientists to enter the job market]

Authors:

Rafael Cardoso Sampaio (UFPR) et al.

Abstract: In form and content, the handbook has been designed as a veritable “vade mecum”, a complete, clear and straightforward guide that provides a thorough and useful step-by-step guide to finding jobs available on the market that can be filled by political scientists. As obvious as it may seem, it is necessary to emphasize, as this booklet does, the fundamentals of good academic training, a foundation that can make a difference at the end of the course and, above all, when the student finds themselves “out there”. The development of reading and writing skills, along with technical and methodological training, as the foundation that it is, must be fed by practice and the incessant search for information and knowledge. In addition to monitoring social networks, the authors mention the continuous reading of articles, editorials, news reports, newsletters and listening to podcasts, to varying degrees of specialization, the interest of which should be incorporated into the academic routine of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
