News and Events

On November 19, 2024, Jornal da USP published an article by Silvana Salles highlighting the impact of INCT Participa, an initiative coordinated by Professor Adrian Gurza Lavalle, from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH-USP).

Lavalle pointed out that the institute is committed to putting academic knowledge at the service of public managers and the community, and has already signed a partnership with the National School of Public Administration (Enap) to offer courses to public managers. INCT Participa will soon be launching its own observatory, Observatório Participa.

One of the initiative's distinguishing features is its collegiate governance system and democratic structure. With a focus on three areas of research - participation, associativism and political confrontation - INCT Participa brings together 15 research centers distributed throughout the five regions of Brazil, and has more than 200 researchers, as well as the contribution of international experts.

This approach reflects the commitment to help train managers and put the knowledge produced at the service of social actors, strengthening the connection between academic research and organized civil society.
