The Brazil-Europe Integration Forum (FIBE) announced in mid-November the winners of the third edition of its award for the best academic works on relations between Brazil and Europe.

In the field of Social Sciences, the first-place winner among doctoral thesis authors was Luana do Rocio Taborda, a postdoctoral researcher at INCT Participa, with her research titled Religious associativism in Brazil and Portugal: Incentives and repertoires of action in the public arenas of Catholic associations at the ‘heart of the Church’.”

Her supervisor was Professor Ligia Helena Hahn Luchmann (PPGSP/UFSC), and her co-supervisor was Professor Guya Accornero (University Institute of Lisbon).

The winners receive cash prizes, as well as the publication of the works that achieved first place in the doctoral thesis category as a book in the “FIBE Award Collection.”

In August, Luana Taborda gave an interview to INCT Participa about her research and stated that it is essential to understand the reconfigurations in the religious field. Read the full interview.
