On May 7 and 8, 2026, the Marielle Franco Auditorium (IFCH/Unicamp)), in Campinas, will host the seminar “University Extension with Collectives and Social Movements: Practices and Building Connections.” The event proposes a reflection on extension carried out with (and not only for or about) social movements and civil society organizations seeking social transformation.
The meeting takes place amid the implementation of the curricularization of extension and changes in the student profile, with more students coming from working-class backgrounds. It aims to deepen the contributions of the Social Sciences in dialogue with already established organizations, involving collective actors from the design to the implementation of projects. The event is part of Unicamp’s 60th anniversary celebrations. INCT Participa is one of the supporters of the initiative, which includes the following program:
