Núcleo de pesquisa em Participação, Movimentos Sociais e Ação Coletiva, affiliated with the Graduate Program in Political Science at Unicamp, investigates Brazilian democracy from an analytical perspective that integrates ideas, actors, and institutions. The group prioritizes analyzing the relationships between collective actors and institutions, exploring how these interactions transform the actors, public policy processes, institutions, and participatory experiences (including digital ones) at both local and national levels. It also examines how these relationships affect access to citizenship and broader patterns of state-society relations, aiming to understand the values and ideologies that promote democracy on one hand and social and political authoritarianism on the other.
