Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI)
The Grupo Democracia e Marcadores Sociais da Diferença at the Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI) is an interdisciplinary collective dedicated to studying the relationships between democracy, inequality, and various social markers of difference, including gender, race, class, and sexuality. Comprising researchers, faculty, and students, the group explores how these differences affect citizenship, rights, and social practices in both local and global contexts. Its activities include academic research, organized debates, seminars, and the production of publications that critically analyze public and social policies. The group seeks to contribute to creating a more inclusive and just society, fostering dialogue and reflection on various forms of oppression and resistance.
